ADMIRING MARYANNE MOODIE'S WOVEN TAPESTRIES

I have definitely been on a fiber and photography kick lately.  These little weavings by Melbourne-based artist Maryanne Moodie are just so fun and quirky.
An art teacher by trade, Maryanne taught herself the basics, with a few helpful pointers from talented friends. ‘My favourite part is spanning the loom’ explains Maryanne, ‘a fresh start, where anything is possible. Sometimes I make a little plan but mostly I just have a vague idea and let the piece form organically as I go’. It takes about two days to finish a new piece.
And now I want a loom.
