ADMIRING NATIVE LINE

Native Line is the work of artist Justine Ashbee, and boy is it lovely.  Fiber, fringe, neutrals, and metallics - pretty much all of my loves.

Also, I've decided that I really need to pick up weaving.  I have always loved embroidery for its soothing and meditative effect, and I assume weaving would be a very similar feeling.  I have been bookmarking tutorials, and, if you follow me on Pinterest, you'll notice I've been pinning woven tapestries like crazy.  All of this work reminds me so much of home; I grew up with my mom's 70s macrame and latch hook on display.  Total side note, the best part of the Dark Shadows remake was Elizabeth's macrame room.  And on that note, have a wonderful Friday, all.
